Toyosu wholesale market will open on October 11th 2018. It is located about 2.3 km south from Tsukiji wholesale market that close to Olympic athlete village. Pre-tour has been conducted by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, a couple times in a month before its opening.
The area is about 40.7 ha which is almost double size of Tsukiji market. It consists of two fish market areas, one fruit and vegetable market area and restaurants area. Visitors can see what’s going on the market from glass windows. Also some pictures and panel are displayed on the wall for better understanding about the market.
The nearest station is “Shijyomae” of Yurikamome line. It takes about 3-5 minutes walk to the market.
